Directions to Track Locations from Hesston

Abilene (1 hour 20 minutes) - Take Dutch Ave. east of Hesston to K-15. Turn left (north) and travel 15 miles to US-56. Turn right (east) for 6 miles to the intersection where K-15 turns left (north). Travel north on K-15 for about 40 miles into Abilene. Continue north on K-15 (Buckeye) through Abilene past downtown to 11th St., then turn left (west) for 2 blocks to Mulberry and right (north) past the tennis courts to the parking lot near the high school. The track complex is located about 3 blocks south of the parking lot - west of Mulberry St. between 10th St. and 8th St.

Alternate route: Take I-135 north from Hesston 55 miles past Salina to I-70, then take I-70 east for 25 miles to Abilene. Take exit 275 at Abilene and travel right (south) into town for about one mile to 11th St., then west 2 blocks to Mulberry and north to the parking lot. Total travel time from Hesston: approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes.

Andale (50 minutes) - Take Dutch Ave. west out of Hesston to Halstead Rd. Turn left (south) and travel across US-50 to Halstead and continue south through Bentley to K-96. Cross K-96 and continue south another 3 miles to 53rd St. N. Turn right (west) on 53rd St. and travel 6 miles through Colwich to N. 247th St. W. Turn right (north) on 247th St. and travel into Andale. Turn left (west) on Rush Ave. (also W. 61st St. N or 5th Ave.) for about 4 blocks to Andale H.S. The track and stadium are on the north side of the school.

Beloit (1 hour 45 minutes) - Take I-135 North to Salina and continue north on US-81 for 34 miles to US-24. Turn left (west) on US-24 for approximately 27 miles to Beloit. As the highway curves around Beloit, turn left (south) on Walnut street, one block past the high school and curve to the west for one block on Gaylord Street to the track.

Bethel College (10 minutes) - Take I-135 South to exit 34 (North Newton). Turn right (south) into town on Main St. and Bethel College and the stadium will be on your left (east) about 1/2 mile from the exit. Park in the parking lot that is directly south of the stadium.

Buhler (20 minutes) - Take Dutch Ave. west out of Hesston for 18 miles to Buhler. Turn left (south) on Main St. for about 3 blocks to Buhler High School, and then turn right (west) on 6th Ave. to the track. The stadium and track are on the west side of the school.

Burrton (30 minutes) - Take Ridge Rd. south out of Hesston to US-50 and turn right (west) on US-50 for 13 miles to Burrton. Turn left (south) on Burmac Rd./McPherson Ave. for 0.6 miles to Lincoln St., and then turn right (west) for 4 blocks to the high school. The stadium and track are on the south side of the school.

Cheney (1 hour 5 minutes) - Take I-135 south to Wichita and then exit 11B to I-235. Continue west on I-235 around Wichita to Kellogg Ave/US-400 at exit 7B. Travel west on US-400 for 25 miles to Cheney. Take the Cheney exit for 383rd Street West. Turn left (south) on 383rd Street for about 2 miles, and the road becomes Main Street in Cheney. Main Street curves to the right at the high school, and turn right (west) on 6th street just past the school. Take another right on Marshall Street a block later, and the track and football stadium will be straight ahead, to the northwest of the school.

Concordia (1 hour 45 minutes) - Take I-135 North to Salina and continue north on US-81 to Concordia. Turn left (west) on 11th St. for approximately 5 blocks to the high school and the track.

Garden Plain (1 hour) - Take I-135 south to Wichita and then exit 11B to I-235. Continue west on I-235 around Wichita to Kellogg Ave/US-400 at exit 7B. Travel west on US-400 for 15 miles to Garden Plain. Take the exit for K-163/295th St W. Turn left (south) on K-163 and the track and football stadium will be on the left (east) side of the road, across from the high school and just to the north of the elementary school.

Goessel (15 minutes) - Take Dutch Ave. east from Hesston to K-15 and then turn left (north) on K-15 for 7 miles to Goessel. Turn left (west) on K-215 and travel through town on Main St. about 3/4 mile. Or, take Ridge Rd. north out of Hesston for 7 miles and turn right (east) on Cheyenne Rd. Continue east for 4 miles into town. Turn north on Church St. for one block, which is just on the west side of the school, and the parking lot is next to the track north of the school.

Halstead (20 minutes) - Travel south on Ridge Rd. to US-50 and turn right (west) on US-50 for 7 miles to the Halstead Rd. (County Rd. 801). Turn left (south) into Halstead. At the 4-way stop at 6th St., turn left (east) for about 6 blocks to Halstead High School and the track is south of the high school parking lot.

Herington (1 hour 5 minutes) - Take Dutch Ave. east out of Hesston to K-15. Turn left (north) and travel for 15 miles to US-56. Turn right (east) on US-56 for 20 miles to US-77. Turn left (north) on US-77 for approximately 22 miles to Herington. Stay on US-77 as it continues around the east side of Herington, past the Pizza Hut, and turn left (west) on Logan Ave./R Ave., the last road that goes into Herington. Continue on Logan Ave. for about 1/2 mile, then turn right (north) on D Street and the school and track will be on your left.

Hillsboro - Tabor College (30 minutes) - Take Dutch Ave. east out of Hesston to K-15. Turn left (north) and travel for 15 miles to US-56. Turn right (east) on US-56 for 9 miles to Hillsboro. Turn right on Ash St. and travel to 'D' St. Turn left (east) on 'D' St. for about 4 blocks to Tabor College. The track and stadium are located at the south end of the campus near the water tower.

Lawrence - KU Relays - Rock Chalk Park (2 hours 30 minutes) - Take US-50 east from Walton or Newton to Emporia, and then take I-335 (turnpike) north to Topeka, continuing east on the turnpike/I-470/I-70 to Lawrence. Take the West Lawrence exit #197 and turn right (south) on K-10 for 1.5 miles. Take the US-40 exit and turn left (east) on US-40/6th St and the track complex should be on the left (north) side of the road.

Leon-Bluestem (1 hour 15 minutes) - Take I-135 South for 30 miles toward Wichita, to K-96 (exit 10), then take K-96 east for 11 miles to US-54/400. Travel east on US-54/400 for 23 miles to the town of Leon. Turn left (north) on the first main road leading into town (Bluestem Rd.), past the school on the right and the track and football field will be on your left (west).

Lindsborg - Bethany College (40 minutes) - Take I-135 North for 32 miles to exit 72, then turn left (west) on Smoky Valley Rd. for 2.5 miles. Turn right (north) on 14th Ave. for 2 miles through Lindsborg to the north side of town, and then turn left (west) on Swensson Ave. near the Pizza Hut and Subway for about 3 blocks. Turn right (north) on Kansas Ave. for one block to the stadium and track.

Lyons (1 hour) - Take I-135 North from Hesston to McPherson and turn west on US-56. Travel west approximately 30 miles to Lyons. At the stoplight on Grand Ave. (K-14), turn left (south) for 1 mile to the south edge of town. Turn left (east) on Avenue N/American Rd. to Lyons H.S. The track and football field are northeast of the school next to the parking lot.

Marion (45 minutes) - Take Dutch Ave. east from Hesston to K-15. Travel north on K-15 for 15 miles to US-56. Turn right (east) on US-56 for approximately 18 miles to Marion. Turn right (south) on Stadium Dr. (or Timber Rd./Eisenhower Rd.), which is near the Pizza Hut. The track and stadium are about 1/2 mile from the highway on the left (east) side of the road.

McPherson High School (25 minutes) - Take I-135 north to McPherson (exit 60). Turn left (west) into town for just 1/2 mile to the stoplight at Centennial Street. Turn right (north) for 1/2 block to First Street, and then left (west) for 1.5 miles McPherson High School. Go past the school to High Street and turn right (north) for one block. Turn right on the school drive that will lead to the west side of the school and the parking lot. The track/football stadium is near the tennis courts, just north of the school.

Nickerson (55 minutes) - Take Dutch Ave. west from Hesston through Buhler and under the K-61 overpass. Continue as the road curves to the north for 1/2 mile, and then turn left (west) on 95th St. for 4 miles to the stop sign. Turn left (south) on Plum St. for 1 mile, and then turn right (west) on 82nd St. Continue for about 8 miles west on 82nd St. into Nickerson. In Nickerson, the road will curve to the northwest and become Avenue B for 3 blocks to Nickerson St. Turn left (southwest) on Nickerson St. for about 4 blocks to the high school. Follow K-96 turning northwest at the high school on Avenue H to the parking lot near the gym and track. The high school address is 305 S. Nickerson St. Another option is to take US-50 west to the south side of Hutchinson, and then take K-96 West for 12 miles to Nickerson.

Peabody (30 minutes) - Take Dutch Ave. east from Hesston to K-15. Turn right (south) on K-15 for 2 miles and turn left (east) on the Walton Rd. (NE 60th). Travel east 5 miles into Walton, and then turn left (northeast) on US-50 for 10 miles to Peabody. In Peabody, turn right (south) on Maple St. for 3 blocks to 7th St. Turn left (east) for 2 blocks to Pine St. and the track.

Phillipsburg (about 3 hours) - Take I-135 north for 55 miles to Salina, then turn west on I-70 for 90 miles to Hays. In Hays, take exit 159 and turn north on US-183 for about 60 miles to Phillipsburg. As you enter the south side of town, turn left (west) on Santa Fe Rd. for 1/2 mile and then right (north) on 7th St. for about 1/4 mile to the high school and track.

Pratt (1 hour 30 minutes) - Take Ridge Road south of Hesston for 8 miles to US-50, then west on US-50 for 35 miles. Take K-61 as it splits from US-50 west of Hutchinson, and continue for another 45 miles on K-61 to Pratt. At the intersection of K-61 and US-54 in Pratt, turn left (east) for 0.3 miles to Fincham Street, and then turn right (south) for another 0.3 miles to the Green Sports Complex, which now also includes the track.

Remington (30 minutes) - Take I-135 south for 15 miles to exit 25, then turn east on K-196 for 13 miles, passing Whitewater and turning left (north) at Brainerd on Meadowlark Rd. Travel 1/2 mile north on Meadowlark Rd to the school and track. The address is 8850 NW Meadowlark Rd, Whitewater.

Russell (1 hour 45 minutes) - Take I-135 north for 55 miles to Salina, then turn east at exit 95A onto I-70 for 65 miles to Russell, exit 184. Turn right (north) on US-281/Fossil Street for 2 miles to 8th Street. Turn right (east) on 8th Street for one block to the school, as the road changes to State Street. Another option is to take exit 189 from I-70 and take Business Hwy 40 around the northwest side of Russell. After Hwy 40 turns west into town, take a right (north) on Copeland Street for about 0.5 miles to State Street/Balta Road and then turn left (west) for 0.5 miles to the high school.

Solomon (1 hour 5 minutes) - Take I-135 north for 55 miles to Salina, then turn east at exit 95A onto I-70. Continue east for 15 miles to Solomon, taking exit 184. Turn right (south) on Poplar Street for 2 blocks to Williams Street, and then turn left (east) for 2 blocks to the track.

Sterling - Sterling College (1 hour) - Take Dutch Ave. west from Hesston for 22 miles through Buhler to K-61. Continue as the road curves to the north for 1/2 mile, and then turn left (west) on 95th for 4 miles to the stop sign. Turn right (north) on Plum St. for 4 miles to Avenue V/Sterling Rd., just after an old gas station. Turn left (west) on Avenue V/Sterling Rd. for 15 miles into Sterling. Continue west for several blocks past the stop sign at Sterling College. The Sterling College track and stadium will be on the right (north) side of the road.

Wichita Independent (45 minutes) - Take I-135 south to Wichita. Take the K-96 exit and travel 6 miles east to Webb Rd. Turn left (south) on Webb for 3.5 miles to Douglas. Turn right (west) on Douglas for just over 1/2 mile, and The Independent School will be on your left (south). The track is just to the east of the school.

Wichita State University - Cessna Stadium (35 minutes) - Take I-135 south to Wichita. Take K-96 east to Hillside and turn south to 21st St, or take the 21st St. exit off of I-135 and travel east to Hillside. Cessna Stadium is on the southeast corner of Hillside and 21st St. The Hesston team will typically sit in the center of the east side of the stadium. Allow extra time to find a parking space and walk to the stadium.
