 Family My wife, Sharon, is a nursing instructor at Hesston College.  Between us, we have four sons. My two sons are Lance and Caleb. Lance is married to Mikaleigh and they live near Manhattan. Caleb lives and works in Salida, Colorado. Sharon's two sons are Jared and Landon.  Jared is getting his Pilot's license at Hesston College and Landon is in the Navy.
Background I began my teaching career in Uniontown, KS in the fall of 1984 teaching high school social studies and physical education classes. From there, I worked in the Newton, KS school district for several years as a paraprofessional in the Special Education dept, then as a middle school math teacher.  In 1996 I began teaching middle school math in the Hesston district.  I have taught 6th and 7th grade math in years past.  Currently, I am teaching students 8th grade math  and Algebra.  In addition, I coach MS boys' basketball, track and Scholars' Bowl.
