The Hesston USD 460 Mission Statement ensures that students will “act in responsible ways” with the vision that students will“work collaboratively, use effective social skills, engage in learning viareal-world experiences” and staff members and administrators that will“nurture, support, and empower students and staff”. In support of that mission, HMS offers Reach for Success (RS) to our students.

RS  is a 20-minute team-building social skills class  that affords HMS students lessons on various themes such as: Respect for others, anti-bullying proficiencies, drug/alcohol prevention, conflict resolution, honesty, diversity, random acts of kindness, teamwork, perseverance, motivation, and more.

Each day our students are lead by our character-trained educators in various team-building activities that pilot healthy dialogue and processing about themes that are socially as well as ethically relevant.
